Four large machines were built between1948 and 1953 to this design, with two members now restored and working in the UK: Gelert at the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway, and Isaac on the Statfold Barn. The Quarry Hunslet mechanism is not appropriate to model these prototypes, and so we have scaled down the profile to fit the mechanism. It still has the same attractive cab and smokebox profile, whilst the tanks have been extended slightly to hide the chassis mechanism.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\n\u003cspan\u003eThis is a beginner's kit, and comprises a single large body shell, with separate cab piece and a selection of detailing components with which to personalise the model.
