Models
The minimum age for placing an order with Fourdees Limited is 18 years. Our products are detailed scale models for adult collectors, with many fine detailed parts. They are not for children under 14 years old.
All model locomotives are intended for use with proprietary model railway controllers designed specifically for operation of UK N-gauge, analogue system model trains. Use of non-standard or alternative system controllers risks damage to the motors and electrical wiring of the models.
Financial Transactions
Fourdees Limited is responsible for financial transactions made through this website. Online payments can be made with PayPal account, and entered on their secure website. Your payments are protected in accordance with their terms and conditions. You can find full details here: https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/buyer-protection. We also accept written orders accompanied by a cheque in Pounds Sterling. If paying by cheque please put your name and address on the back of the cheque and allow at least 10 days for it to clear through the bank. We advise that you contact us first with regards such orders so we can reserve your order. We do not accept Postal Orders.
Postage within the UK
All prices displayed on the website are inclusive of all taxes. Unless otherwise stated, delivery to addresses within the British Mainland is charged as follows:
£5.00 for orders less than £100
£8.00 for orders between £100 and £300
£10.00 for orders above £300.
We aim to dispatch all orders within three days. We check every model for performance before dispatch, so in some cases there may be a delay of up to 7 days. Orders within the United Kingdom will be dispatched by either Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For delivery, or Royal Mail Special Delivery. If you have not received your order within 10 days, please contact us to check for postage tracking.
Postage outside the UK
We are currently unable to ship any Fourdees products to the EU or Northern Ireland, due to the EU General Product Safety Regulations. The cost for us to meet these standards far outweighs the sales we are likely to get from these markets. If there are any changes to this policy we will investigate whether we can again start shipping to the EU or Northern Ireland.
Kits can be purchased from some worldwide addresses, including Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA.
An attempt to purchase a model through the website to an international address (without appropriate postage) will be refunded, but taken as additional confirmation that you understand these terms and conditions.
Cheque orders
If you would prefer to pay by cheque, you must contact us first stating which model(s) you would like to purchase, so we can confirm that it is in stock and reserve your order. Any contact between Fourdees Limited and a customer will either be customer initiated, or regarding an existing order. No information of customers will be sold to third parties. We do not accept Postal Orders.
Returns Policy
Prior notification of any return must be given to us via email: info@fourdees.co.uk. Failure to do so could lead to returned items being lost or undelivered, for which you are liable.
Faulty Orders:
If a model is faulty on arrival, or develops a fault in the first twelve months, please contact us for assistance first. These are bespoke handmade items, and faults can occur from time to time. We shall repair these models free of charge. If the model develops a fault due to poor care, storage, or damage due to inappropriate operating conditions, we will charge for the repair. The cost of any repair will be agreed prior to the work being undertaken. Any modification to the chassis invalidates this return policy.
Unwanted Orders:
We offer a full ‘No Questions Asked’ return policy, valid for 14 days from purchase. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your purchase, you may return it for replacement, or a full refund. An unwanted item must be returned in a re-saleable condition, unused and in its original packaging. If an item is return worn or damaged, we are legally entitled to deduct the cost of any necessary repairs from your refund. This offer is open for 14 days upon receipt of your order.
Privacy
Fourdees Limited do not disclose buyers’ information to third parties, and the only third party involved is PayPal. We do not hold any financial details, with all payment details being taken by PayPal. Fourdees Limited is not responsible for content on other websites, which may be linked to from our pages.
These Terms and Conditions apply to all purchases made directly via PayPal buttons at www.fourdees.co.uk. For ebay purchases, please defer to our details at the bottom of each listing.
