For many years, 009 modellers were reliant on European narrow gauge models (from Liliput, Roco and Minitrains) to provide the ready-to-run power on their layouts. These models were often Anglicised with a more intricate liveries and simplified detailing to make them look at home on English, Scottish and Welsh rails.
However, with the recent increase in the availability of ready-to-run UK models, we think it is time to return the favour. Fourdees already have one exclusive 'What-if' Short Tank Sirdar in production with Rapido Trains, and we are looking to add a second. This Germanified variant would be finished in standard Deutsche Reichsbahn livery of plain black with red frames. Additional details include continental headlamps, turbo generator and air brakes.
We shall keep you updated on when this model will become available, but unfortunately, due to the post-Brexit trading agreements with the EU, we will not be able to ship the finished models outside the UK.
