For those who do not enjoy kit-building, or are looking for bespoke items to add to their collection, these models are all finished and 'Ready-to-Run' on your layout.

We are currently taking pre-orders for the full range of Rapido Trains 'Cranmore' models, as well as two exclusive liveried models. Later this year we hope to have stock of our first exclusive ready-to-run locomotive from - the What-if short-tank Sirdar in works grey.

Rapido What-if Short Tank - Works Grey

This exclusive Rapido Trains UK 'What-if' Short Tank Sirdar is fitted with an industrial half-cab and finished in the striking Kerr-Stuart photographic grey livery. Nearly all locomotives from private manufacturers were initial painted in such colours so that they would show up clear in 'works' photograps, which could be used to advertise the product to potential buyers. This model includes grey frames, white-walled wheels and 'SIRDAR' presented on the tanks, signifying the class name of the locomotive.
