Saddle your Bagnalls...

Saddle your Bagnalls...

We have two final Bagnalls to add to our range for the Bachmann Percy Chassis, and again these ones are a little different.

Trieste is losely inspired by Bagnall No.2841 ordered by the Ministy of Supply and sent to the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration in Yugoslavia, 1946. The locomotive was similar to other saddle-tanks, but had a partial cab front and saddle that extended over the smokebox.

Perak is inspired by similar machines built by Bagnall for export. The model is principally the same as the standard saddle-tank design of Nixie and Dot, but feature a box-tank (sometimes called a flat-top saddle).

Both kits are designed so that the steamchests can be snapped off, allowing it to be fitted to Bachmann Percy chassis with valve-grear upgrades. A static chassis is included, with separate boiler backhead and cab roof. Both kits are priced £29.99 and available to purchase now. We also have a set of decals for both Trieste and Perak with which you can replicate the liveries shown in our painted samples, priced £5 each.

We have one more Bagnall locomotive to release in our Spring collection, and it's another whopper...
