Sakri and Fathew join the Bagnall fleet
For fans of our range of Bagnall saddle-tank locomotives for the Bachmann Percy Chassis, we have a couple of models that are a little different to release today. Sakri and Fathew are our first Bagnall side tank locomotives, and take inspiration from similar machines built for export.
Sakri has short tanks including fuel rails, similar to varioius 0-4-2 and 0-6-0 locomotives that were intended to burn fuel. The space on top of the tanks and boiler provided additional capity for the fuel, and includes extended tank filler pipes. The model has this space clear for you to either add a representation of wood or maybe real coal.
Fathew is a little more freelance, and includes full-length pannier tanks. We've also given the loco a full cab and buffers, making it a feasible addition to the well known fleet of Talyllyn Railway machines.
Both kits are designed so that the steamchests can be snapped off, allowing it to be fitted to Bachmann Percy chassis with valve-grear upgrades. A static chassis is included, with separate boiler backhead and cab roof. Both kits are priced £29.99 and available to purchase now. We also have a set of decals for Sakri with which you can replicate the standard lined 'Bagnall green' livery.
We have another little Bagnall tank engine to share with you on Saturday...
