This is a detailed scale model kit for adult collectors. Not for children under 14 years old.

This is a kit of parts that can be used to upgrade the motion on a Bachmann Percy chassis to include a single slidebar/crosshead arrangement, and working representation of Walschaerts Valve-Gear. This is an advanced kit, with many small parts required careful assembly. You will require modelling tools (such as a craft knife, cutting board, files and micro-drills) adhesive, paints and ballast material (such as Liquid Gravity) to assemble the kit. The kit requires a Bachmann N-Gauge Percy Chassis to fit.

This chassis is designed to fit the 2025 Little Bagnall Saddle-Tank (MK II) models:

This mixed-media kit includes all the parts you need to add cylinders with upper valve-chests, single slidebars, and a working representation of Walschaerts Valve-Gear, to further enhance the appearance of our Little Bagnall models. In order to fit the 2024 (MK I) version of these models, the cylinders and frames under the saddle-tank need to be removed and trimmed as per the instructions shown in the images.

Spares of all resin printed parts are included, with one etch fret. Metal pins are included if these are to be used instead of the resin versions.

This is a highly detailed 4mm scale kit built using our in house machines, with High Definition resin and build layers just 50 microns (0.05mm) thick. Whilst there is 'stepping' visible on the parts up close, this is not discernible once the kit is painted and/or from usual viewing distances.

The parts have their main supports removed, though detailing and structural supports will remain to protect the parts in transit, and require removing prior to assembly. Some polishing and filing of the parts is required to provide a smooth finish. Clear (and varnished) resin windows are included, though you may wish to use clear plastic sheet (not included) if preferred.

You will need modelling tools (such as a craft knife, cutting board, files and micro-drills) adhesive, paints and ballast material (such as Liquid Gravity) to assemble the kit.

This kit requires a BACHMANN TRAINS Percy to apply the upgrade. Consult instructions for steps required.

Keep resin parts out of direct sunlight. Detailing and structural supports remain in order to protect the parts in transit, and should be removed before painting.

Parts will benefit from a wash in cool soapy water before painting, but do not leave them to soak. Alternative, Isopropyl alcohol is also a good cleaning solution if parts feel overly sticky.

If any components appear bent or warped, heat them gently with a hairdryer or in warm water (do not soak), and then hold parts whilst they cool.

If modifying the parts in any way (either by cutting, filing, sanding or drilling) be sure to wear appropriate protective clothing such as gloves and masks.
