This is a detailed scale model kit for adult collectors. Not for children under 14 years old.

This model kit is of a freelance steam locomotive, inspired by similar locomotives built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works, USA in the early twentieth century. The design has particular nods to both No.1 'Santa Teresa' and No.2 in operation on the Brecon Mountain Railway. The frames, cab and tender all taken from No.1, whilst the valve gear chassis is from No.2. The final model is scaled to appear in the correct proportions on the necessary donor mechanism.

This is our largest and most ambitious model to date, featuring a wealth of detail above and below the frames, and in the cab. The kit includes all parts required to assemble working outside-framed motion, including accurate replacement flycranks and ponytruck and tender wheelsets.

This is a very advance kit. The body is in many separate components, including frame with boiler and smokebox, running frames, cab and roof. The Graham Farish 08 chassis requires much modification to complete, in this case replacing the frames and all the motion and flycranks. There is also valve gear, with several delicate pivoting components to assemble. A tender also needs assembling, which includes frame, chassis and body components.

This kit has been printed in new HD resin, which is darker in finish to some of the parts shown in the photographs.

This is a highly detailed 4mm scale kit built using our in house machines, with High Definition resin and build layers just 50 microns (0.05mm) thick. Whilst there is 'stepping' visible on the parts up close, this is not discernible once the kit is painted and/or from usual viewing distances.

The parts have their main supports removed, though detailing and structural supports will remain to protect the parts in transit, and require removing prior to assembly. Some polishing and filing of the parts is required to provide a smooth finish. Clear (and varnished) resin windows are included, though you may wish to use clear plastic sheet (not included) if preferred.

You will need modelling tools (such as a craft knife, cutting board, files and micro-drills) adhesive, paints and ballast material (such as Liquid Gravity) to assemble the kit.

This kit requires a GRAHAM FARISH 08 chassis to motorise the finished model. Consult instructions to see if the chassis needs any modification before fitting.

Keep resin parts out of direct sunlight. Detailing and structural supports remain in order to protect the parts in transit, and should be removed before painting.

Parts will benefit from a wash in cool soapy water before painting, but do not leave them to soak. Alternative, Isopropyl alcohol is also a good cleaning solution if parts feel overly sticky.

If any components appear bent or warped, heat them gently with a hairdryer or in warm water (do not soak), and then hold parts whilst they cool.

If modifying the parts in any way (either by cutting, filing, sanding or drilling) be sure to wear appropriate protective clothing such as gloves and masks.
