This is a detailed scale model kit for adult collectors. Not for children under 14 years old.
This model kit is of a freelance steam locomotive, inspired by similar locomotives built by Bagnall for the Darkhazineh Fields Railway, Iran. The design has a similar boiler, tank and cab shaping to the three 'Barretto' class machines built for the Bowaters Paper Railway. The principle difference is evident in the chassis, with the Persian machines having Walschaerts valve gear.
The model includes all parts required to assemble working outside-framed motion, including accurate replacement flycranks and ponytruck wheelsets.
This is an advance kit. The body is in a single piece, with roof and cab interior to fit. The Graham Farish 08 chassis requires significant modification to complete, in this case replacing the frames and all the motion and flycranks. There is also valve gear, with several delicate pivoting components to assemble.
