This model is of the impressive NGG16 Beyer Peacock and Company "Garratt" locomotive, as found on the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways. This deluxe static kit has been designed using original manufacturers drawings, with each detail maticulously duplicated to scale. The kit is made up of ten main components:

Front Bogie
Rear Bogie
Front Tank
Rear Bunker
Boiler, Cab and Cradle Frame
Cab Interior
Cab Roof
Vacuum Brake Equipment
Fall Plate
Works Plates and Number Plates (No.130, No. 138 and No.143)

Waterslide decals are also included to replicate either yellow-edged or orange-edged black borders.

The separate components allow easier painting of this incredibly highly detailed kit. The bogies include full representation of plumbing, brake gear, valve gear and spring linkages. The boiler carries a wealth of plumbing and components that can be found on the real machines. The brake equipment is separate to allow ease of painting under the boiler, likewise the cab interior before inserting and attaching the roof.

This listing is for a static model. It is an unpainted 3D printed resin miniature, in a single piece, and not intended for use as a body for working mechanism. It can be used to create scenes and dioramas on layouts, for example:

A loco awaiting restoration in a storage line
A loco undergoing overhaul in a workshop
A loco on a wagon / flatbed truck being transported to another railway / workshop

They can also be used as a means to practice your painting skills before working on one of our many kits.

Care Instructions

Keep out of direct sunlight. Detailing and structural supports remain in order to protect the parts in transit, and should be removed before painting. If modifying the parts in any way (either by cutting, filing, sanding or drilling) be sure to wear appropriate protective clothing such as gloves and masks.
