These locomotives are based on prototypes built by Kerr, Stuart and Company, Stoke. There are both prototypical and freelance creations, both large and small, found on railways at home and overseas. Well known examples include Edward Thomas, Stanhope and Diana. The company was known for its wide range of 'standard' narrow gauge designs, including the Sirdar, Skylark, Tattoo and Matary.
